In terms of this class, I have learned a lot that I know will help me in the near future and long term. I have discovered tons of new web sites covering a wide range of topics that will help me be the best I can be in advertising.
Tuesday
My thoughts... this should be interesting.
I can't believe three years have come and gone. I remember my first day, walking into my concepts class, not having any idea what I was doing or if I would even survive. Well here I am three years later looking back on the good, the bad, and the ugly. Over all my time at Mohawk has been awesome. I met a lot of awesome people who I know I will keep in touch with for years to come. I've had some amazing professors who have not only helped me understand advertising but learn more about myself as a person. I would say my "college life" was average; late nights in the Mac Lab, spending my life savings on printing, not eating right or really sleeping much. And you know what? If I had the chance to change anything, I wouldn't. I can say I have learned more about myself in the past three years then I have learned in my life time (to date), and that is one of the amazing things about college.
Hello Monday
The first site I reviewed was hellomonday.net. This agency is a design studio based out of New York City, Copenhagen, and Arahus. This specialize in creating visual worlds and analogue media that inspire and activate their clients target market. They have won many awards including work they have done for Red-Issue, David Lindsay Wade, Tony d'Orio, Minus, and T2 to name a few.
Strike
So it looks like the college's in Ontario will be going on strike. Personally this whole thing ticks me off mainly because we're in our last semester and many of up still don't have an internship. Upon hearing about the idea of a strike we were given tons of assignment from some of our professors to insure we get everything done... Wonder how this will all play out!?
CrackBerry
This past September I finally jumped on the smartphone band wagon. I traded in my crappy Motorola for a BlackBerry Storm. Within a month the phone was freezing and restarting itself at least twice a day. So I want back to Telus, where they ordered me another phone. The new phone came in and I had it for a couple of months. Then one day it just totally died and wouldn't do anything. So once again I went back to Telus and they order me, another, phone. They told me because they phone wasn't working at all they would rush me a new one and I would have it within 4 days. I figured I could go without a phone for a few days... fast forward one week later and my new phone finally shows up. So now I figured the third time should be the charm... NOPE! This last friday I was an hour late for class because the alarm on the phone chose not to wake me up. And again this morning it didn't go off. So I don't know what to do anymore, I'm sick on waiting on new phones and I'm sick of dealing with Telus because I know they don't give a crap about it. Lets see how this plays out.

Juxt viral video
Here is a viral video created by JUXT which features their best work from 2008. Pretty cool stuff!
NBA interactive
Here is a pretty cool interactive game JUXT Interactive created call 2010 Sprite Slam Dunk contest. The game gets your create your own player. The idea of the game came from Guitar Hero. To simplify it, the user creates their own NBA player and using the "A" "S" "D" "F" keys on the keyboard to hit notes that come across the screen. More more notes the user hit the higher their score, which can make it onto the leader board.
